For all that it is
For all that it is not-
Yes, soul longs for this and more and more and more
I have raged to know the diamond core
I have been intemperate in this
I have sought the name of the wind
And all the traditions of water
And it was not enough
No, never enough
At best a partial appeasement
Some approximation of the state for which I yearned
Breathless and breathless but ultimately knowing
That the bonds of this love can be cruel
Who then will console me in darkness?
Who will offer a healing balm?
