You must appreciate the setting

In order to understand what is said-

An island, Greek of course, Patmos

And John saying “I saw the word in god

Do you see it now?

The issue and the issues raised

And already you are wondering how to answer them-

The abstract and the manifest

The spoken and unsaid

You might consider this more Greek than Hebrew

In essence however the issue transcends all corporal borders

It is a man and his vision

And something so startling

That the simple words do not try to hide it
