| 1 And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel (for he [was] the first-born; but because of his going up to his father’s couch, [his father] gave his blessing to his son Joseph, [even] the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as first-born; 2 for Judas [was] very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing [was] Joseph’s). 3 The sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel; Enoch, and Phallus, Asrom, and Charmi. 4 The sons of Joel; Semei, and Banaia his son: and the sons of Gug the son of Semei. 5 His son [was] Micha, his son Recha, his son Joel, 6 his son Beel, whom Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria carried away captive: he [is] the chief of the Rubenites. 7 And his brethren in his family, in their distribution according to their generations; the chief, Joel, and Zacharia. 8 And Balec the son of Azuz, the son of Sama, the son of Joel: he dwelt in Aroer, and even to Naban, and Beelmasson. 9 And he dwelt eastward to the borders of the wilderness, from the river Euphrates: for they had much cattle in the land of Galaad. 10 And in the days of Saul they made war upon the sojourners [in the land]; and they fell into their hands, all of them dwelling in their tents eastward of Galaad. 11 The sons of Gad dwelt over against them in te land of Basan even to Sela. 12 Joel the first-born, and Sapham the second, and Janin the scribe in Basan. 13 And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers; Michael, Mosollam, and Sebee, and Joree, and Joachan, and Zue, and Obed, seven. 14 These [are] the sons of Abichaia the son of Uri, the son of Idai, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesai, the son of Jeddai, the son of Buz, 15 [who was] the brother of the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, [he was] chief of the house of their families. 16 They dwelt in Galaad, in Basan, and in their villages, and [in] all the country round about Saron to the border. 17 The enumeration of [them] all took place in the days of Joatham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel. 18 The sons of Ruben and Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasse, of mighty men, bearing shields and sword, and bending the bow, and skilled in war, [were] forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going forth to battle. 19 And they made war with the Agarenes, and Itureans, and Naphiseans, and Nadabeans, 20 and they prevailed against them: and the Agaraeans were given into their hands, [they] and all their tents: for they cried to God in the battle, and he hearkened to them, because they trusted on him. 21 And they took captive their store; five thousand camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men. 22 For many fell slain, because the war [was] of God. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity. 23 And the half-tribe of Manasse dwelt from Basan to Baal, Ermon, and Sanir, and [to] the mount Aermon: and they increased in Libanus. 24 And these were the heads of the houses of their families; Opher, and Sei, and Eliel, and Jeremia, and Oduia, and Jediel, mighty men of valour, men of renown, heads of the houses of their families. 25 But they rebelled against the God of their fathers, and went a-whoring after the gods of the nations of the land, whom God cast out from before them. 26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phaloch king of Assyria, and the spirit of Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria, and carried away Ruben and Gaddi, and the half-tribe of Manasse, and brought them to Chaach, and Chabor, and to the river Gozan, until this day. |
ΚΑΙ υἱοὶ Ῥουβὴν πρωτοτόκου ᾿Ισραήλ, ὅτι οὖτος ὁ πρωτότοκος, καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀναβῆναι ἐπὶ τὴν κοίτην τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἔδωκε τὴν εὐλογίαν αὐτοῦ τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ ᾿Ιωσὴφ υἱῷ ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ οὐκ ἐγενεαλογήθη εἰς πρωτοτόκια· 2 ὅτι ᾿Ιούδας δυνατὸς ἰσχύϊ καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰς ἡγούμενον ἐξ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ εὐλογία τοῦ ᾿Ιωσήφ. 3 υἱοὶ Ῥουβὴν πρωτοτόκου ᾿Ισραήλ· ᾿Ενὼχ καὶ Φαλλούς, ᾿Ασρὼμ καὶ Χαρμί. 4 υἱοὶ ᾿Ιωήλ· Σεμεΐ καὶ Βαναία υἱὸς αὐτοῦ. καὶ υἱοὶ Γοὺγ υἱοῦ Σεμεΐ· 5 υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Μιχά, υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ῥηχά, υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ᾿Ιωήλ, 6 υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Βεήλ, ὃν μετῴκισε Θαγλαθφαλλασὰρ βασιλεὺς ᾿Ασσούρ· οὗτος ἄρχων τῶν Ῥουβήν. 7 καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ τῇ πατρίδι αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς καταλοχισμοῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν· ὁ ἄρχων ᾿Ιωὴλ καὶ Ζαχαρία 8 καὶ Βαλὲκ υἱὸς ᾿Αζοὺζ υἱὸς Σαμά, υἱὸς ᾿Ιωήλ· οὗτος κατῴκησεν ἐν ᾿Αροὴρ καὶ ἐπὶ Ναβαῦ, καὶ Βελμασσὼν 9 καὶ πρὸς ἀνατολὰς κατῴκησεν ἕως ἐρχομένων τῆς ἐρήμου, ἀπὸ τοῦ ποταμοῦ Εὐφράτου, ὅτι κτήνη αὐτῶν πολλὰ ἐν γῇ Γαλαάδ. 10 καὶ ἐν ἡμέραις Σαοὺλ ἐποίησαν πόλεμον πρὸς τοὺς παροίκους, καὶ ἔπεσον ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν κατοικοῦντες ἐν σκηναῖς αὐτῶν πάντες κατ᾿ ἀνατολὰς τῆς Γαλαάδ. 11 υἱοὶ Γὰδ κατέναντι αὐτῶν κατῴκησαν ἐν γῇ Βασὰν ἕως Σελχά. 12 ᾿Ιωὴλ πρωτότοκος καὶ Σαφὰμ ὁ δεύτερος, καὶ ᾿Ιανὶν ὁ γραμματεὺς ἐν Βασάν. 13 καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν· Μιχαήλ, Μοσολλὰμ καὶ Σεβεὲ καὶ ᾿Ιωρεὲ καὶ ᾿Ιωαχὰν καὶ Ζουέ, καὶ ᾿Ωβήδ, ἑπτά. 14 οὗτοι υἱοὶ ᾿Αβιχαία υἱοῦ Οὐρὶ υἱοῦ ᾿Ιδαΐ υἱοῦ Γαλαὰδ υἱοῦ Μιχαὴλ υἱοῦ ᾿Ιεσαΐ υἱοῦ ᾿Ιεδδαΐ υἱοῦ Ζαβουχὰμ 15 ἀδελφοῦ υἱοῦ ᾿Αβδιὴλ υἱοῦ Γουνί· ἄρχων οἴκου πατριῶν. 16 κατῴκουν ἐν Γαλαάδ, ἐν Βασὰν καὶ ἐν ταῖς κώμαις· αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ περίχωρα Σαρὼν ἕως ἐξόδου. 17 πάντων ὁ καταλοχισμὸς ἐν ἡμέραις ᾿Ιωάθαμ βασιλέως ᾿Ιούδα καὶ ἐν ἡμέραις ῾Ιεροβοὰμ βασιλέως ᾿Ισραήλ. 18 υἱοὶ Ῥουβὴν καὶ Γὰδ καὶ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασσῆ ἐξ υἱῶν δυνάμεως, ἄνδρες αἴροντες ἀσπίδας καὶ μάχαιραν καὶ τείνοντες τόξον καὶ δεδιδαγμένοι πόλεμον, τεσσαράκοντα καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐκπορευόμενοι εἰς παράταξιν. 19 καὶ ἐποίουν πόλεμον μετὰ τῶν ᾿Αγαρηνῶν καὶ ᾿Ιτουραίων καὶ Ναφισαίων καὶ Ναδαβαίων 20 καὶ κατίσχυσαν ἐπ᾿ αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐδόθησαν εἰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν οἱ ᾿Αγαραῖοι καὶ πάντα τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτῶν, ὅτι πρὸς τὸν Θεὸν ἐβόησαν ἐν τῷ πολέμῳ, καὶ ἐπήκουσεν αὐτοῖς, ὅτι ἤλπισαν ἐπ᾿ αὐτόν. 21 καὶ ᾐχμαλώτευσαν τὴν ἀποσκευὴν αὐτῶν, καμήλους πεντακισχιλίας καὶ προβάτων διακοσίας πεντήκοντα χιλιάδας, ὄνους δισχιλίους καὶ ψυχὰς ἀνδρῶν ἑκατὸν χιλιάδας· 22 ὅτι τραυματίαι πολλοὶ ἔπεσον, ὅτι παρὰ τοῦ Θεοῦ ὁ πόλεμος. καὶ κατῴκησαν ἀντ᾿ αὐτῶν ἕως τῆς μετοικεσίας. 23 καὶ ἡμίσεις φυλῆς Μανασσῆ κατῴκησαν ἐν τῇ γῇ ἀπὸ Βασὰν ἕως Βαὰλ ᾿Ερμὼν καὶ Σανὶρ καὶ ὄρος ᾿Αερμών· καὶ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ αὐτοὶ ἐπλεονάσθησαν. 24 καὶ οὗτοι ἀρχηγοὶ οἴκου πατριῶν αὐτῶν· ᾿Οφὲρ καὶ Σεΐ καὶ ᾿Ελιὴλ καὶ ῾Ιερμία καὶ ᾿Ωδουΐα καὶ ᾿Ιεδιήλ, ἄνδρες ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί, ἄρχοντες τῶν οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν. 25 καὶ ἠθέτησαν ἐν Θεῷ πατέρων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπόρνευσαν ὀπίσω θεῶν τῶν λαῶν τῆς γῆς, οὓς ἐξῇρεν ὁ Θεὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν. 26 καὶ ἐπήγειρεν ὁ Θεὸς ᾿Ισραὴλ τὸ πνεῦμα Φαλὼχ βασιλέως ᾿Ασσοὺρ καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα Θαγλαθφαλλασὰρ βασιλέως ᾿Ασσούρ, καὶ μετῴκισε τὸν Ῥουβὴν καὶ τὸν Γαδδὶ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασσῆ καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς Χαλὰχ καὶ Χαβὼρ καὶ ἐπὶ ποταμὸν Γωζὰν ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.
27 Υἱοὶ Λευί· Γεδσών, Καὰθ καὶ Μεραρί. 28 καὶ υἱοὶ Καάθ· ῎Αμβραμ καὶ ᾿Ισσάαρ, Χεβρὼν καὶ ᾿Οζιήλ. 29 καὶ υἱοὶ ῎Αμβραμ· ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ Μωυσῆς καὶ Μαριάμ. καὶ υἱοὶ ᾿Ααρών· Ναδὰβ καὶ ᾿Αβιούδ, ᾿Ελεάζαρ καὶ ᾿Ιθάμαρ. 30 ᾿Ελεάζαρ ἐγέννησε τὸν Φινεές, Φινεὲς ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αβισού, 31 ᾿Αβισοὺ ἐγέννησε τὸν Βωκαΐ, Βωκαΐ ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Οζί, 32 ᾿Οζὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ζαραία, Ζαραία ἐγέννησε τὸν Μαριὴλ 33 καὶ Μαριὴλ ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αμαρία, καὶ ᾿Αμαρία ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αχιτώβ, 34 καὶ ᾿Αχιτὼβ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαδώκ, καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αχιμάας, 35 καὶ ᾿Αχιμάας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αζαρίαν, καὶ ᾿Αζαρίας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Ιωανάν, 36 καὶ ᾿Ιωανὰν ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αζαρίαν· οὗτος ἱεράτευσεν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ, ᾧ ᾠκοδόμησε Σαλωμὼν ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλήμ. 37 καὶ ἐγέννησεν ᾿Αζαρίας τὸν ᾿Αμαρία, καὶ ᾿Αμαρία ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αχιτώβ, 38 καὶ ᾿Αχιτὼβ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαδώκ, καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαλώμ, 39 καὶ Σαλὼμ ἐγέννησε τὸν Χελκίαν, καὶ Χελκίας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Αζαρίαν, 40 καὶ ᾿Αζαρίας ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαραία, καὶ Σαραίας ἐγέννησε τὸν ᾿Ιωσαδάκ, 41 καὶ ᾿Ιωσαδὰκ ἐπορεύθη ἐν τῇ μετοικεσίᾳ μετὰ ᾿Ιούδα καὶ ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ ἐν χειρὶ Ναβουχοδονόσορ.
