6.1-2
(…) Being unborn is undestroyable, for it is intact and unshakable and endless; neither sometime was nor will it be, for it exists now all together, one, continuous; for what birth of it can you seek? How, whence did it grow? Nor from non-being will I let you say or think. For what does not exist is unspeakable and unthinkable. And what need might have moved it, later or earlier, to start from nothing and grow? (…) Nor can it be devided since all is alike; neither somewhere is better, since that would disturb it being cohered, nor worse, but it is all full of being. It is coherent all of it, because being loves to draw near being. (…) The same, and in the same conditions remaining, lies by itself and thus stable there remains. (…) The same is thinking and the cause of meaning's being. For without being, wherein it has been spoken, you won't find thinking. |
