Hello I am translating what I think to be a very difficult paragraph from Origen on Ezekiel regarding him being sent to Israel -- a people who are not of unintelligible speech. One sentence in particular has me wondering:

βάρος γὰρ καὶ κομψόν τι οὐκ ἔχει στίβος ἡ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν, ἤτοι ὁ λόγος

So far I have: "For their language path does not have something difficult and extravagant, that is the Word."

στίβος ἡ γλῶσσα: both of these are in the nominative case but one is masculine, the other feminine. Language path does not seem to be the correct way to handle this, but I haven't come up with a better option. Any suggestions?

Also ὁ λόγος seems very abrupt here. Is it the "Holy Scriptures" he is referring to, the "Christian Gospel" or am I missing the point altogether?

Ἡ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν, ἤτοι ὁ λόγος = their language, i.e., their speech
στίβος seems to be used here as a neutral, connected with the previous adjective (κομψὸν στίβος), unless the text at this point is corrupted.
