Some time ago I was searching the meaning of those greek letters, placed all together, so I think I know the why of your curiosity.
I found out what ΥΦΞΟ means. The power to discern between the good and evil, to create, to see, to be imortal.
ΥΦΞΟ means the man supreme, with a supreme mind, a state of spirit that few men has reached, like Jesus Christ, Budha, and some other few unknown men and women.
The order of those greek letters shows the way, the stages to be reached to reach the immortality, not a imortal flesh, but a imortal spirit in plenty conscience and liberty.
This was the same objectives of the first templars who dicovered the Solomon Temple. In one of the books I have researched, "The Templar Knights and the Masonry", printed in 1895, for a Masonry Press, has an history that when the Templars entered in the Solomon Temple (that was lost) they saw above the Solomon´s throne the inscription "YOD" that means, "The Son (creature), the Spirit, and the creator", or if you prefer, YOVA, JOVA, GOD, but this is another history.
Maybe the ΥΦΞΟ word, or acronimus, is linked to "YOD".
References to the meaning of a man supreme have been found inside the Pyramid of Gizet in Egypt, in a lot of oriental cultures.
The Greek Characters are evolved from an earlier Semitic ie. Phoenician system of writing. Α alpha from Alif = Bull or ox. Beta from Beth = House, etc. If you look up Phoenician Alphabet on Google or other search engines you will find this information.
