 Is there a Greek word meaning "approaching God"?

or "approaching heaven"? Something like that. A college professor of mine who taught aesthetics of music spoke of some sublime musical experiences as being of this nature, but I cannot remember the word. I'm not thinking of "apotheosis," which is more about human beings becoming gods. It was more about experiencing what a god would experience.

Perhaps the word you can't recall is "enthousiazein" (ἐνθουσιάζειν), used by Plato many times (enthousiontes, enthousiazontes, enthousio, enthousiastikos, etc), meaning those who become full of God and express this "enthusiasm" in some form of art - music, sculpture, poetry, prophecy, etc.
