I cannot find the definition for "ontes". The transliterated phrase is "oi ontes uioi". Can someone help me?

Hi Patricia,
It is difficult to find it in a dictionary, because it is a participle of an irregular verb, in plural!, yet (maybe the most) basic verb, i.e., "I am", eimi. Ontes is "they who are".

Ontology comes from that participle; "On" is "who is", "who exists", all beings and primarily the only one who really is, as origin of all beings and creator.
