We have some Irish at the forum, who may wish to speak their mind. As for the Greek-looking Chinese, they don't look that Greek to me! Here are a few clear enough images of Greek persons you may find useful:

George... the first four pictures look identical to me. The last with the sexy guys, their skin is very light for the comparison, but their facial structures match some of the persons.

Except for the last picture, they absolutely look like neighbors.

Someone asked, on the etymology side, should Philadelphia also be of Greek origin, and yes, the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, East Coast areas seem saturated with Greek names. Examples of this are like Sparta, Lennilenape (Hellenic of Leontopolis?), Patomic/Patomai, even the name "Iroquois" which I say was Egyptian for "Ur Heqa", "Mighty People of Magic Words", or in the Greek... "Eureka".

There are many remnants of Lead and metal mining in the Franklin, New Jersey areas of Hopatcong, Netcong, and Musconetcong, and their realtion to the Delphi Muse might have encouraged a name fairly close... Phila-Delphia, "Family of Brothers" in Greek, am I right?

Names of Greek origin in cities and states prove how much the first Americans (which means: the Europeans, who went there) wanted a close relationship with Greek culture. I believe you will agree that they don't prove a visit of ancient Greeks to America.

First of all, you are right, and the original settlers named their new locations after biblical names, Greek names, etc.

Do you also dismiss DNA blood sampling, showing Greek and Macedonian origins?

As I did last time, this is a tremendous amount of theory, it can offend when it is not meant to offend, let others review and think about my comments, and let me come back in one year to see the results.

From my point of view, George, the tribes we call Greek today, had mapped virtually the entire Western Hemisphere and the floor of the Atlantic and the Arctic.

It is staggering the amount of international travel the Greeks and Egyptians accomplished, in a world much, much different from today.

God Bless the ASTONISHING Greek culture!

I don't mind such a research, but I don't find also any interest in it, because the crucial point is not about the race, looks, etc. The point is who shares precisely the culture, the philosophical move (love for wisdom and ultimately God) that characterises the Greek spirit. From the aspect of race, Greek was Plato and Greeks were those who convicted Socrates to death. What is the meaning of race? I don't care about race. People who don't love Homer and Plato, they are not interested in truth, such people are not Greeks, no matter their color, shape, country, etc.
