I said before, that Tibetans might want a union with China, if their freedom and way of life is not compromised. Dalai Lama, in my opinion, tries to do his best under the circumstances. Whether the students' demonstrations help him or not, we don't have enough evidence to judge, and arguments can be conceived for both cases. Beyond all these, I wouldn't condemn or look condescendingly upon anyone who demonstrates for non torturing and enslaving people. And of course I wouldn't stop understanding and saying what China does, even if (supposedly) the insanity of the victims praised her for torturing.
