Πλήρης η Ελληνική Πατρολογία (αρχεία εικόνων, χωρίς δυνατότητα για αναζήτηση) μπορεί να εντοπιστεί σε P2P δίκτυα. Αν έχετε το eMule κατεβάστε το αρχείο Complete Migne Patrologia Graeca, για την πλήρη συλλογή (169 τόμοι, 32 GB), ή κατεβάστε μόνο συγκεκριμένους τόμους από την Patrologia Graeca.

Όταν ανοίξετε το eMule μή περιμένετε να αρχίσει αμέσως το κατέβασμα των τόμων της PG. Αφήστε το πρόγραμμα ανοιχτό και ασχοληθείτε με άλλες εργασίες, γιατί μπορεί νὰ περάσει πολλή ώρα μέχρι να προσδιορίσει τις πηγές, να συνδεθεί και να αρχίσει να κατεβάζει. Βεβαιωθείτε όμως ότι έχετε επιτύχει σωστή σύνδεση (τα δύο βελάκια στην κάτω δεξιά γωνία του προγράμματος πρέπει να είναι πράσινα). Αν χρειάζεστε βοήθεια για την ρύθμιση, θα βρείτε εδώ (στα Αγγλικά).

Μπορείτε επίσης να κατεβάσετε όλους τους τόμους από Ιστοσελίδες Κοινοποίησης (File Share) αρχείων (τύπου Rapidshare). Ο τρόπος αυτός ίσως είναι πιο γρήγορος, όμως οι λιγώτερο δημοφιλείς τόμοι πιθανώς αφαιρούνται με την πάροδο του χρόνου.

Σημείωση: Δεν υπάρχουν ζυγές σελίδες στους φακέλους με τους τόμους της Πατρολογίας, αν και τα κείμενα είναι πλήρη όπως στην ἔντυπη έκδοση. Αυτό είναι προβληματικό για την χρήση του Πίνακα Περιεχομένων, επειδή ο Πίνακας Περιεχομένων ενός τόμου μπορεί να έχει αναφορές σε ζυγούς αριθμούς! Ακολουθώντας τέτοιες αναφορές ανοίγει ασφαλώς μία λευκή (νεκρή) σελίδα του browser χωρίς κείμενο. Κατόπιν, αν γράψουμε στην γραμμή διευθύνσεων τον πλησιέστερο μονό αριθμό, το κείμενο ανοίγει κανονικά. Επομένως, όλα τα κείμενα υπάρχουν πλήρη *, ζυγές σελίδες δεν χρειάζονται, όμως οι ίδιοι οι Πίνακες εσφαλμένα αναφέρονται σε ζυγές σελίδες. Ίσως αυτό διορθωθεί στο μέλλον, αλλά προσωρινά, όταν βρισκόσαστε σε ένα Πίνακα Περιεχομένων, ανοίγετε το κείμενο που θέλετε, και αν η αναφορά είναι σε ζυγή σελίδα, τότε γράψτε στην γραμμή διευθύνσεων την πλησιέστερη μονή σελίδα.

* Η μόνη περίπτωση, απ' όσο γνωρίζω, προβληματικού τόμου, είναι εκείνη του τ. 23, όπου λείπουν οι στήλες 481-1396, δηλαδή περίπου το μισό υπόμνημα του Ευσέβιου Καισαρείας στους Ψαλμούς.

Σημείωση 2: Το πρόγραμμα e-mule είναι ασφαλές, δεν περιέχει ιούς, spyware κλπ. Το ίδιο ασφαλή είναι τα λινκς για τους τόμους της Ελληνικής Πατρολογίας. Αν χρησιμοποιήσετε το emule για να κατεβάσετε και άλλα αρχεία πέρα από αυτά, ενδέχεται να μολυνθείτε από ιούς - εκτός αν κατεβάσετε μόνο ασφαλείς τύπους αρχείων (mp3, avi, gif, κτό).

The Complete Patrologia Graeca (in scanned images) can be found in P2P networks. If you have eMule, download the collection Complete Migne Patrologia Graeca (169 vol., 32 GB), or only individual volumes of Patrologia Graeca.

When you open eMule don't expect it to start downloading immediately the volumes of PG. Let the program open and do other jobs you may have, because a lot of time might pass before eMule finds available sources and starts downloading. However, make sure you achieved proper connection (both arrows at the bottom right corner should be green). If you need help to configure eMule, you will find directions on this page.

You can also find all the volumes from File Sharing web sites (the Rapidshare type). This is perhaps a faster way, but rarely downloaded PG volumes may become unavailable in the course of time.

* To print a volume, (if you don't like reading from screen), you need to print all the images in the folder of that volume.

Please note: There are no even-numbered pages in the folders of a PG volume, although the texts are complete as in the original Patrologia Graeca volumes. This is problematic when it comes to the Tables of Contents, because they refer sometimes to even-numbered browser pages. Of course, when one clicks on such an entry, only a blank browser page opens. Then if we write on the address-bar the closest to that page odd number, we get to the text. Therefore, all the texts exist complete *, there is no need for even-numbered browser pages, but the Tables themselves by mistake may use even-numbered references. Perhaps in the future this will be fixed, but for the moment, when you are on the Table of Contents, open the text you want to read, and if the reference is to an even-numbered page, just write at the address-bar the closest odd number.

* The only case, so far as I know, that a volume has problems, is the case of v. 23, where columns 481-1396 are missing, i.e. almost half of the Commentary of Eusebius of Caesarea on the Psalms.

Note 2: The eMule software is safe, it does not contain viruses, spyware, etc. Links to the Patrologia Graeca volumes are also safe. If you use emule to download even more archives beyond the PG volumes, you risk the chance of downloading a virus - unless you select to download only safe file formats, such as mp3, avi, gif, and the like.
