Epilogue: Beyond the edge of the crowd and directly to nothing (1'34'')
Charles' graduation day. The ceremony ends. His family congratulates him. He sees someone leaving and he climbs on a chair to have a better look. He recognises McLeod and they greet each other in a distance, where they will remain forever.
Endnote
Most of all, I think, we owe to Mel Gibson that it is very difficult for one to find a single word, which McLeod speaks to Charles without care. We owe to Nick Stahl Charles' colorful, powerful and eager personality. We are very grateful to both of them, to James Horner for the soundtrack, and to all the actors and in any way responsibles for making this film - a film, we have to admit, incomparably better than the book which it was based on.
