  Copperfield is speaking with Traddles when he tells Copperfield that Micawber has changed his name to Mortimer, so the debt collectors can’t find him. He also only comes out after dark wearing glasses.
Traddles has the broker round to take away a table and flower pot because he owes money, but he gets Peggotty to buy them back for him.
When Peggotty and Copperfield go to his house, Mr Dick and Betsey Trotwood are sitting there with their belongings.
She admits that she is ruined.
