Canyon
I tell my friends it is the place to be,
There are no Freeways or Highways,
Byways or Oneways, these are just
not there for you and I to see,
walking you will find some circuitous rambling pathways
There is a love I want to see,
her heart is deeper than a ravine,
a majestic beauty that holds and transfixes me,
coiffured lush greens at nearby valleys, just have to be seen.
You will not find the hustle and bustle,
the pressure of modern day living,
not a care in the world, only a well oiled axle,
that negotiates a land that is so visually giving.
No diner or the comforts of a hotel in sight,
Come well prepared with lots of food and tent,
sleep will come easy under a starry velvety night,
a healthy way , for angst and stress, to circumvent
A tiring long drive that is too far away,
reading a map and yet so difficult to find,
No Neighbhours or locals to show you the way,
but im glad, how can i share my secret with another kind ?
I know it will be ,so very hard to leave you,
all I want, is for my troubles and worries left behind
just to be with you.
