It's hard to define what is Classics or to determine what literatrue deserves Classics .
For each person has his or her own idea on the meaning through one's reading experience ( career ).
In general , "Classics" are works which have been cotinually read beyond time and space , as it were , ever-lasting great books .
In addition it , suck a kind of books stimulate us to consider something important for our lives containing universal themes related with fundamental human natures .
If you would list the names of Classics , what are they ?
I look forward to your reply and ideas on the meaning of Classics .

First of all, I would like to agree with you concerning the meaning of "classic", but it is not the question of what we mean when we say that something is classic - all of us mean the same thing, but the question is about quite another thing - how we use this word.
When somebody says that Beowulf is classic I quite disagree. The reason is that there nothing was said about the most important things - I mean soul, friendship, love - our study of this creation is just the question of English literature's beginnings and tradition.
When I say that Oscar Wilde is classic I do mean that, just because it is really a question of our souls which were shown in his works.
That's all - I mean classic the thing which cures us by it's beauty and instruct us by its content.
