The fire bearing messenger
Awake he stood by the sea shore; alert to meet the shipwrecked, the snappy ones. Frozen sea-waves would keep me busy; I didn’t know his existence until the first sparks signal. He didn’t only light the fire, he kept it patiently burning, a heavens sing to remind me the existence of reception and warmth.
Alive I was, next to him, by the sandy beach and the fire, but voiceless and still muddling eyes.
I didn’t even thank him. Could only keep my eyes open and breathe through the lighted sparks of fire, the newly granted life.
Next morning, when he opened his eyes, I firstly come across his smiling glance: What fire shall I light today? Whom shall I light it for? Oh my Love, was the cry his eyes send forth, I see around me, every moment, every day, men and women I do not know, but their stouthearted nobility shines in front of me! They might not know what I know, but from my heart I feel thankful to them, close to them my own way…
No matter how dazzled I was, I knew I was fortuitous. I heard his voice, looked in his eyes, had experience of his unused ways… in doing ordinary things in a specially catchy, loving, fire bearing, manner…
