My Love For You
My love for you cannot be measured,
For it is too great for the mind.
Before we first met,
I was completely blind.
What is the point of life,
When it surrounds you with pain?
This was what I was asking.
The answer was what I gained.
I asked “Why am I here?”
And I couldn’t answer it alone,
So I started to wander,
Started to blindly roam.
As I got deeper into darkness,
I found you and hope began to shine.
It lit up the path of life,
That I’ve been trying to find.
Finally after so long,
Life gave me kindness.
In a form of a woman I love,
Who has lifted my eyes from blindness.
For so long, my heart has been bleeding,
And you were the one who healed it.
You were the answer to my prayers,
The girl who took my life and sealed it.
I can’t thank you enough,
For I would still be in a trance.
My life would still be in pieces.
Is this fate or chance?
I don’t care,
And it doesn’t matter to me.
I am only grateful for finding you,
For you are the reason I can see.
I thank the Lord,
Who is watching from above.
This is such a gift I cannot repay.
It is the simple gift that we call “love”.
