Life is a Storm
All the good times of life,
Flash brilliantly like lighting,
The light always tells me,
That I have to keep on fighting.
Sometimes it is pushed aside,
And is replaced by thunder.
It violently shakes my insides,
And it reminds me of my blunders.
If I am lost in the fight,
Lost in the darkness of night,
And the rain starts to pour,
And the wind starts to roar,
I have to find my way.
I tell myself, “I’m not stopping today.”
And if I see the wonder,
In the power of thunder,
It will help me find my way,
And help me in my fray.
The flash of that lightning,
Will aid my sighting,
Of my old, forgotten hopes,
Where life showed me the ropes.
So I say, “Never give up,
And you will be rewarded.
Just keep your head up,
And your problems will be sorted.”
That’s when we met by the shore,
And I knew that you’d be my light.
But suddenly we parted, forevermore,
That’s when my day turned to night.
Even if everything was right,
I always wanted the hope of light,
To be where it can be found.
Whether up in the heavens,
Or on the ground,
It will always be in my sight.
